The Family Enrichment Weekend is a strategically designed event that promotes the well-being of the
families who have a child with autism by providing needed family support and enhancing healthy family functioning. Family support is provided by meeting informational needs of parents, creating networks with parents and siblings, establishing linkages to professionals and community resources, and providing an inclusive environment for the child with autism. Healthy family functioning is enhanced through activities designed to strengthen family cohesion, maintain family balance, and promote adaptability.
